About Wendy
Your story matters.
So does the life ahead of you.
Wendy Hemenez · Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Hi, I’m Wendy.
I’m a licensed mental health therapist and the therapist behind Renewed Mind Mental Health Therapy. I specialize in trauma and work with adults, with a particular heart for women navigating painful experiences, patterns that feel difficult to change, and questions about who they are becoming.
You may have spent years holding everything together while feeling disconnected from yourself. Wherever you are beginning, I want to understand what life has been like for you—and what you hope it can become.
How I approach our work
My approach makes room for both tenderness and growth. I want you to feel seen in what has hurt, supported as you heal, and gently encouraged to explore a different way forward.
We’ll explore how past experiences have shaped your thoughts, relationships, and responses to stress. With compassion, we’ll notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice ways to respond with more choice, confidence, and care for yourself.
I’ll bring professional knowledge, thoughtful questions, and steady support. You’ll bring your experiences, perspective, and goals. Together, we’ll shape an approach that fits your needs.
Training that supports your healing
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These approaches offer ways to work with distressing memories and the feelings connected to them. We’ll talk about what each involves and whether either approach fits your needs, comfort, and goals.
Room for the whole person
The things that give your life meaning matter.
Your values, culture, relationships, beliefs, and sources of hope can all have a place in therapy. I welcome conversations about what sustains you, what you’re questioning, and what you want your life to reflect.
You can decide how much of that you want to explore. My role is to support you with respect and curiosity.
Why Renewed Mind?
The name Renewed Mind reflects the possibility of developing a different relationship with your thoughts, your experiences, and yourself.
Pain can shape what we expect from the world and what we believe we deserve. Therapy offers an opportunity to examine those beliefs with care, understand where they came from, and consider what may serve you better now.
Renew your Mind. Reclaim your Life. To me, that means making room for a kinder understanding of yourself, releasing patterns that no longer serve you, and moving toward a life with greater freedom, purpose, and joy.
There is room for a new beginning.
You don’t have to walk this path alone. Let’s talk about what you are carrying and the life you hope to reclaim.
